Exair Digital Air Flow Meter
Exair Digital Air Flow Meter
EXAIR’s Digital Flowmeter™, with data logging capability available, is the easy way to monitor compressed air consumption and waste! The digital display shows the exact amount of compressed air being used, making it easy to identify costly leaks or inefficient air products. No cutting, welding, adjustments or calibration are ever required. It is designed for permanent or temporary mounting to a compressed air pipe. If the unit needs to be removed, blocking rings are available for most models. Available for measuring air flow in SCFM or m3/hr on 1/2″ thru 8″ Schedule 40 Iron Pipe, 25mm thru 101mm Aluminum Pipe and for Copper Pipe up to 4″. Consult the factory for NEMA 4 flowmeters.
Description

Exair digital flowmeter includes eliminator, drill guides, adjusting tools and drill bits.
What is the EXAIR Digital Flow Meter or Flowmeter?
The EXAIR digital flow meter (DFM) provides a simple way to monitor the use, or waste, of compressed air. The digital display shows the exact amount of air flowing through the cross-sectional area of the pipe where it is installed. This potentially allows for significant compressed air savings by identifying air waste in production areas—helping, for example, to identify costly leaks or inefficient usage with EXAIR air flow monitoring systems.
Many companies install the Digital Flow Meter or Air Flow Meter at each key stage of their air distribution system to monitor consumption and reduce compressed air usage in each area of the production process, using digital flow measurement EXAIR.
The EXAIR flow meter is designed for permanent mounting on pipes. The user needs to drill two 3/16" diameter holes through the pipe using the included drill bit. The two flow detection probes of the digital meter are inserted into these holes. The unit seals the pipe once the two clamps are tightened. At no point is cutting, welding, adjusting, or calibrating required, making it easy to install and use. How EXAIR digital flow meters work is simple and user-friendly, providing accurate measurements in real-time.
Applications
Measures noise levels in a range from 35 dB to 130 dB. Useful when verifying performance improvements after installing an EXAIR digital flow meter in compressed air systems.
Frequency range: 31.5 Hz – 8 kHz. Often used alongside EXAIR flow meters for compressed air to monitor overall system efficiency.
A” and “C” weighted decibel measurement scales, which complement digital flow measurement EXAIR tools for a complete evaluation of compressed air environments.
Slow (1 second) or fast (125 milliseconds) response time settings for measuring noisy environments. This can be particularly helpful when assessing areas before and after implementing EXAIR air flow monitoring systems.
Max hold function to retain the highest recorded value and identify the loudest areas—an ideal feature when understanding how EXAIR digital flow meters work in different industrial settings.
Advantages
4-digit LCD display in 0.1 dB increments with backlight.
Typical battery life of 50 hours with low battery warning.
Automatic shut-off after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Includes protective carrying case and 9V battery.
