Description

Exair ChipTrapper

What is the Exair Chip Vac burr vacuum?

EXAIR's Chip Vac vac vac vacuums dry or wet parts into a common 55 gallon drum. The Chip Vac is used to clean solid residue from machining processes and various work surfaces of machining centers, lathes, saws, mills and other industrial equipment. A new design that increases vacuum power by 30% makes this iteration the most powerful Chip Vac yet.

Conventional vacuums are not designed for use in industrial environments. As a result, motors deteriorate quickly and impellers become clogged. The Chip Vac has no moving parts to break or wear out, ensuring long life. The sound level is half that of an electric vacuum cleaner.

Likewise, with the Mini Chip Vac EXAIR system, it delivers the same cleaning power for small jobs. It includes a 5-gallon drum and all tools.

How does the Exair Chip Vac burr vacuum work

Cómo funciona la aspiradora neumática de rebaba Exair
How the Exair Pneumatic Chip Vac Vacuum Works

Compressed air, generally at pressures of 80-100 PSIG (5.5 - 6.9 BAR), flows through the inlet (1) into an annular chamber (2). It is then injected into the throat through directed nozzles (3). These air jets create a vacuum at the inlet (4), which draws material that is accelerated through the unit (5). An elbow in the exhaust system (6) directs the air creating a cyclonic motion against the inside wall of the drum. Chips and other particles fall to the bottom of the drum. The air flow escapes through the port in the drum lid (7). Airborne particles in the air are trapped by the 0.1 micron filter.

The Chip Vac system can be used with a steel, fiber or plastic drum that is in good condition (ANSI Standard # MH2-1977). To avoid material contamination, a line drum poly can be inserted into the drum.
