Description

What is the EXAIR Super Air Wipe?
A super air wipe that generates a uniform 360° airflow—perfect for cleaning, cooling, or drying cylindrical parts such as cables, pipes, hoses, extrusion parts, wires, and more. Its split design allows for easy installation around moving materials without stopping the process, making integration seamless. Available in diameters ranging from 3/8" (10 mm) to 11" (279 mm).
The Exair Super Air Wipe also a great alternative to DIY blow-off solutions like perforated pipes or tubes. Its design significantly reduces compressed air consumption by utilizing atmospheric air to perform the task while requiring only a small amount of compressed air to operate.
Additionally, the EXAIR Super Air Wipe is made entirely of stainless steel, allowing it to withstand high temperatures of up to 420°C.

How does the Air Wipe Exair circular air curtain work?
Compressed air enters (1️⃣) the Air Wipe into a ring-shaped chamber (2️⃣). There it is blown through a small ring-shaped nozzle (3️⃣) at high velocity. This primary air flow acquires a coanda effect (4️⃣) which is directed downward along the angled wall of the Air Wipe. A low pressure area (5️⃣) is created in the center, inducing a high volume flow of atmospheric air in conjunction with the primary air flow. The air flow at the discharge of the Air Wipe creates a 360° conical ring that adheres itself to the material passing through it (6️⃣), uniformly and thoroughly cleaning the entire surface area with a high velocity air flow.
Why choose an Exair circular air curtain?
Prior to the introduction of the Super Air Wipe Exair circular air curtain to the market, the only way to dry, clean, and cool cylindrical surfaces was by using rings made with spun air nozzles or drilled orifices. The high air flow from the nozzles or orifices along the ring was inconsistent and generally produced poor results. The Exair Super Air Wipe, on the other hand, provides a high volume, high velocity air flow that is evenly expelled through a 360° ring. By adjusting the inlet pressure, the velocity of the ejected air can be varied from a strong blast to a light breeze, thus also lowering the compressed air consumption and noise level depending on the application.
