Description
What is the Exair antistatic circular curtain?
EXAR's super Ion Air Wipe provides uniform 360° ionized air flow and is easy to place around any cylindrical geometry to remove electrostatic charges and other contaminants from the surface of the part. The system is ideal for use on pipes, cables, extruded profiles, hoses, wire and more. It maximizes ionized air flow and minimizes compressed air consumption.
The Super Ion Air Wipe provides full coverage of the moving part through it. The high volume, high velocity air flow sticks to the surface and cleans it with static eliminating ions. The airflow remains attached to the surface and is effective many feet away from where the Super Ion Air Wipe is mounted. With a pressure regulator (optional) you get infinite control of air velocity and volume. Increasing the pressure increases the vigorous cleaning action. Lower pressures provide excellent coverage with much less force and speed.

How does the ionized air curtain work?

he Exair circular ionized air curtain incorporates a Super Air Wipe and a divisible ionizing collar, energized by a power source. The compressed air supplied to the unit is expelled through the small annular nozzle of the Super Air Wipe at high velocity (1). A 360° conical ring of air is created and in turn induces high volumes of atmospheric air into the air stream (2). The air stream passes through the collar and is ionized by two emitter points (3). That high velocity ionized air stream adheres to the surface of the cylindrical part passing through the Super Ion Air Wipe (4), uniformly eliminating static and removing any surface contaminants.
