EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter – 5 Ways to Monitor & Reduce Compressed Air Waste

EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter is a reliable and efficient solution for monitoring compressed air consumption The EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter is a reliable and efficient solution for monitoring compressed air consumption in industrial facilities. Designed to provide accurate real-time airflow measurements, the unit helps companies identify compressed air waste, reduce energy costs, and improve overall system efficiency. Using advanced digital flow measurement EXAIR technology, operators can monitor airflow continuously and quickly identify leaks, excessive consumption, or inefficient compressed air usage. Compressed air is one of the most expensive utilities in industrial operations. Undetected leaks and unnecessary airflow consumption can significantly increase operating costs and place additional strain on compressors and production equipment. Implementing EXAIR flow meters for compressed air allows maintenance teams to track usage accurately and improve energy efficiency throughout the facility. The EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter features a simple installation process that eliminates the need for cutting, welding, calibration, or major pipe modifications. Operators only need to drill two small holes into the compressed air pipe using the included drill bit and install the airflow probes directly into the system. Once installed, the meter immediately begins providing accurate airflow readings through the integrated digital LED display. Understanding how EXAIR digital flow meters work is simple and user-friendly. The meter continuously measures the airflow passing through the pipe and displays the exact compressed air usage in real time. This information allows plant managers and maintenance personnel to compare airflow between different production areas, identify abnormal consumption patterns, and optimize compressed air distribution systems. Many manufacturing facilities install multiple EXAIR air flow monitoring systems throughout their compressed air networks to monitor airflow at different stages of production. This approach helps identify air waste quickly while improving equipment reliability and reducing unnecessary compressor operation. The EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter is available for multiple pipe sizes and materials, including Schedule 40 iron pipe, aluminum pipe, and copper pipe systems. The unit supports airflow measurements in both SCFM and m3/hr, making it suitable for industrial facilities worldwide. Facilities using digital flow measurement EXAIR technology can reduce compressed air waste, lower electricity costs, improve compressor performance, and support preventive maintenance programs. The durable industrial construction, accurate digital display, and simple installation process make the EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter an ideal solution for compressed air optimization projects.

Description

EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter

Exair digital flowmeter includes eliminator, drill guides, adjusting tools and drill bits.

What is the EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter or Flowmeter?

EXAIR Digital Air Flow Meter is a reliable solution for compressed air flow monitoring.

The EXAIR digital flow meter (DFM) provides a simple way to monitor the use, or waste, of compressed air. The digital display shows the exact amount of air flowing through the cross-sectional area of the pipe where it is installed. This potentially allows for significant compressed air savings by identifying air waste in production areas—helping, for example, to identify costly leaks or inefficient usage with EXAIR air flow monitoring systems.

Many companies install the Digital Flow Meter or Air Flow Meter at each key stage of their air distribution system to monitor consumption and reduce compressed air usage in each area of the production process, using digital flow measurement EXAIR.

The EXAIR flow meter is designed for permanent mounting on pipes. The user needs to drill two 3/16″ diameter holes through the pipe using the included drill bit. The two flow detection probes of the digital meter are inserted into these holes. The unit seals the pipe once the two clamps are tightened.

At no point is cutting, welding, adjusting, or calibrating required, making it easy to install and use. How EXAIR digital flow meters work is simple and user-friendly, providing accurate measurements in real-time.

Applications

Measures noise levels in a range from 35 dB to 130 dB. Useful when verifying performance improvements after installing an EXAIR digital flow meter in compressed air systems.

Frequency range: 31.5 Hz – 8 kHz. Often used alongside EXAIR flow meters for compressed air to monitor overall system efficiency.

A” and “C” weighted decibel measurement scales, which complement digital flow measurement EXAIR tools for a complete evaluation of compressed air environments.

Slow (1 second) or fast (125 milliseconds) response time settings for measuring noisy environments. This can be particularly helpful when assessing areas before and after implementing EXAIR air flow monitoring systems.

Max hold function to retain the highest recorded value and identify the loudest areas—an ideal feature when understanding how EXAIR digital flow meters work in different industrial settings.
