Description

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
The new iCX intermediate flow control valve monitors and stabilizes supply air pressure by adjusting flow.
The iCX releases air from a tank to maintain continuous pressure at the lowest optimum minimum level.
The result is reduced leakage air consumption, improved system efficiency, and significantly lower operating costs.
A modular rotary electric motor positions the valve in response to changes in air demand to maintain a pressure of ± 0.5 in a typical system.
Overpressurization and pressure drops associated with pneumatically controlled valves are eliminated. Positive linear start-up limits any problems by causing the valve to adjust to changing conditions. The actuator does not require pneumatic air lines or adjustment of filters and regulators eliminating potential contamination problems and air leakage inherent with pneumatic systems.

Advantages
By lowering the plant side pressure, everything consumes less compressed air, including leaks, requiring less use of compressors.
By expanding the air from the design pressure to a lower pressure, the available volume is multiplied, having more air for all users and requiring fewer compressors.
By operating all treatment equipment at its design pressure, the air quality will be as provided by the manufacturer, and the pressure drop will be minimal, reducing the use of compressors.
By taking air from storage, being already dry, clean air at design pressure, to serve all users, whether they are there or not.
